1957 Mercedes Benz 220S Here is a very nice 57 220S that is clean and looks sweet. Check out my store for more great Unique and Classic Cars. Make sure and check out the Video below. This is a sweet car. I just love these older Mercedes like this and when you find one this clean it makes me like it even more. This car factory came with a 6cyl. engine but the cool thing about this car is that someone took at late 80's-early 90's 300E motor and transmission and put it in this car. This was a very expensive conversion but it's sweet to have an older car like this with a newer motor. Less to worry about. We are having a little trouble getting the carb adjusted right so the car is not currently running. We can get it to fire off but it sputters and doesn't like to stay running. If you know what your doing I believe it's an easy fix. Under the hood and undercarriage are clean and dry as can be. They even had to special weld the oil pan so it would work with this car. The whole conversion was done right. Make sure to watch the video I do a complete walk around of the car inside and out. The exterior of this car is beautiful. It is a very nice sea foam green in color with a white top. The paint is very nice and has a nice shine to it. There is minimal fading mainly on the hood and a couple spots on the roof. But overall looks great and the body is straight as can be. The bumpers look good but may need to be rechromed at some point. I love the big chrome grill on these cars, there is nothing else like it. Lots of badges on the front means the owner or the car traveled many different places. The factory wheel covers look great on the car, show minimal wear, and have the color matching centers. The tires are a newer set of Radial Tires that I would say have about 90% tread left and even still have titties on them. Options: Automatic Transmission 300E 6 cylinder Engine Aftermarket Cassette/Disc Changer The interior is very nice on this car. You can tell someone restored the car at some point. The seats are a dark green vinyl and look great. The front seats show very little wear and only the drivers seat has some cracks on the bottom section. Other then that they are awesome. The back seats look even better and don't look like they ever got used that much. Looks like someone replaced the carpets at some point and the look very good. Door panels and headliner all look amazing. I love the real wood around the inside of the doors and on the dash. This is real wood and still looks great. If you refurbished it it would look even better. Someone spent some time on this car fixing it up and making it how they wanted it. Now it's your turn to have this as your project. This is just a really sweet car that is a great project car and is cool with the newer engine and tranni. Don't miss out on this one of a kind car. I took pictures of every detail of this car so you can get the full picture and know exactly what you are getting.
