1997 Peterbilt 379 Semi Optimus Prime Sleeper

1997 Peterbilt 379 Here is a beautiful 97 Peterbilt 379 Semi. The same truck that they used for Optimus Prime in the Transformer movies. Check out my store for more great Unique and Classic Cars. Look at the Autocheck Score. Make sure and check out the Video below. This truck is sweet. This truck is power by a huge 12.7L Detroit Series 60 Diesel. This truck is made to pull. It has a 13-speed split gear transmission that I just had rebuilt. It was only rebuilt because there was a chip in one of the gears and it made a whining noise. So there are no worries there. The truck runs great and everything on it seems to work. It fires right up and I just love the sound of these diesels. The truck drives very nice and just cruises down the road. The engine brake does work great and you can hear my dad use it when he is slowing down. This is just a great truck all the way around. I believe it is a 1 or 2 Owner and they took care of it and put a ton of extras on it. One of the cool things is the back axels. You have a button so you can use both axels but also another button so you have a Posi-Traction rear end. Very cool option on these. It also does have all of the air ride suspension. Under the hood and undercarriage are clean. Make sure to watch the video I do a complete walk around of this truck and even go on a test drive in it. The exterior of this truck is amazing. I just love the look of these trucks and then you ad on all the extras and it looks sweet. It is bright red in color which is one of my favorites. The paint looks great and has a very nice shine to it. There is more chrome and aftermarket lights on this truck then you can imagine. It has expensive front bumper panel with lights and running board lights. The swan on the front is cool along with the smoked bug guard. A lot of the front is aftemarket chrome parts. I love the chrome diamond plate headache rack on the back along with the matching boxes on the side and one of my favorites the huge chrome bull shipper stacks that I believe are 7". It also has a normal tow hitch set up and brake controls if you need to pull a trailer that requires a ball. All of the wheels are a 22.5" Alcoa Wheel, even the inner duals wheels. The tires on the front are almost new BFGoodrich Tires that have a ton of tread life left and the backs are almost brand new set of Michelin Tires that even still have all the titties on the side. They have been sitting a little bit and do have a little bit of cracking starting in a couple of them. It had the dark red interior to match the exterior. The drivers seat has been replaced with a nice new very comfortable leather seat. The passenger seat in in good condition but does show some wear. The back has a big nice sized matress sleeper area. Has plenty of room to be comfortable and has the curtains so you can close it off. It has all sorts of lights everywhere. Has the connections for what looks like where a TV goes. The carpets are clean. It has a nice aftermarket Woodgrain steering wheel. The gauges even light up green along with an entire aftermarket gauge bezel. Has a ton of buttons for all of your controls on the dash and all labeled so you know what's what. It has a satelite that mounts on the roof that we took off and that is what you see in the sleeper area. It will mount right back on. Very clean truck all the way around.
